The Validation Team is tasked with assessing and recommending whether MAPCS is deserving of Accreditation. They looked at our planning process to ascertain how faithful our operation is to our stated mission. Whether we are satisfying all of the elements/indicators of the standards and since AFG is a continual improvement model, as importantly, the Validation Team assessed the quality of MAPCS's plans to address missing elements and deficiencies as we grow and develop. A positive recommendation and decision, following our AFG planning process, has demonstrated to the public that MAPCS is committed to the following tenets:

• To making steady progress;
• To respecting its own mission and values in order to maintain the trust of the community;
• To gaining stakeholder interest, and
• To developing positive relationships with the surrounding community.

Calling on all MAPCS Stakeholders
Accreditation is a very significant accomplishment for MAPCS. We were only able to accomplish this goal with the invested participation of each stakeholder group. Moreover, the AFG protocol demanded that we secure participation from every subset within the MAPCS community. We happil received meaningful involvement from our whole school community including a joint Shaw/Evans staff group, students, the board, volunteers, parents and other members of the broader community.
