Charter School Information and Enrollment FAQs
Charter Schools in Washington, DC:
Washington, DC charter schools are public schools that are free for all DC residents. Public charter schools are independent from the school district so that each charter school can design programs it believes best serve student needs. Any DC student can attend any DC public charter school where space is available. Families complete applications to request space at a charter school.
